Frequently asked questions

CBD stands for Cannabidiol and is one of the most active substances in hemp. CBD does not in itself cause the characteristic feeling of being high, while it does not show any effects that indicate abuse or addiction potential. Of the more than 100 different cannabinoids in hemp, CBD is one of the most studied cannabinoids. Interest in CBD is growing among the population and it is becoming increasingly known for its positive feedback on the market. Learn more about CBD.

If a high quality CBD product is used properly, there should be no side effects.

If you consume more CBD than recommended, you may experience side effects, these are mild and may include: loose bowel, nausea, dry mouth, fatigue or headache.

Everyone has their personal dose that suits you, we recommend that you use from the lowest and work your way up to find your perfect dose.

DR. Herbal’s CBD oil is of the highest quality and produced without any chemical additives. Our oil is only mixed with pure coconut oil for better absorption.

Pregnant and lactating women should refrain from using CBD as long-term studies are not yet available.

CBD oil is legal to buy in Europe as long as it contains less than 0,2% THC. All CBD oils at DR. Herbals are EU-approved and contain 0.0% THC. Our CBD oils are produced by the latest method, so-called CO2 extraction, which has a good reputation for capturing the plant’s substances in the desired shape. With this process, we can easily develop our products that consist of a wide range of cannabinoids. We have chosen to use this method as we can choose to have all cannabinoids and terpenes from the hemp plant except THC in our oils which makes the end product completely legal!

Our CBD buds, on the other hand, contain less than 0.2% THC that is the legal amount in Europe.

Cannabinoids are substances found in hemp. CBD is one of hundreds of identified cannabinoids in the plant that are known today. Other cannabinoids include: CBG, CBN, CBC, CBDL, CBL, CBE, CBT.

These bind to either CB1 or CB2, which are cannabinoid receptors found at various sites in the central nervous system.

The difference between broad spectrum, full spectrum and CBD isolate is simply the chemical compound content found in each of the products.
Full-spectrum CBD contains all of the cannabinoids and other plant compounds, included THC.
Broad-spectrum CBD contains all cannabinoids and plant compounds, except THC.
CBD-isolate is a pure form of CBD. It contains no other plant compounds, only CBD (cannabidiol).

Our body has a system that produces its own set of cannabinoids, called the endocannabinoid system (ECS). The ECS contains a complex network of neurotransmitters and receptors that spread throughout the body, working to maintain balance within several organ systems.

The Endocannabinoid system is one of many bodily systems that helps to maintain homeostasis in the body. Its receptors are widespread and found in the skin, immune cells, heart, brain, and digestive system, and it impacts many body processes. CBD supports the Endocannabinoid System and in doing so facilitates a state of whole body balance and optimal wellness.

You can take CBD oil by putting it directly under your tongue. Drop a dose of CBD under your tongue and hold it there for a minute before swallowing.

Taking CBD sublingually means your body will absorb a greater amount of it, because of the many capillaries found under your tongue.

You can of course choose to mix with your favorite drink or food.

Mixing CBD in your chosen food takes about 30 minutes to 2 hours before it is absorbed. However, less will be absorbed into the bloodstream compared to under the tongue. We recommend that you follow this option if you want to take it slow.

The optimal daily dose of CBD varies from person to person depending on their unique physique, the recommended daily dose of our CBD oil is 1-5 drops.

The best way to calculate how much CBD works for you is to start with the lowest possible dose and increase over time to be able to find your desired dose.

When taking cannabinoids, you should be aware that it increases the number of active receptors present in the body. It can therefore be estimated that it takes about 3-4 weeks to fully activate the endocannabinoid system.

Tolerance develops when you start to see less benefits with a previously effective amount. The result of developing a tolerance is that you start to need more of something to get the same desired effect.

Reverse tolerance (opposite of tolerance), also called drug sensitization, means that less of something is needed to get to the same end point. A smaller dose is needed and, in some cases, continues to slowly decrease.

CBD does not cause tolerance because it doesn’t work by binding to the cannabinoid receptors in the same way that THC does. CBD avoids the problem of tolerance altogether and, unlike THC which reduces cannabinoid receptors over time, CBD actually promotes increased receptor activity. This means that you need smaller doses of cannabinoids, reverse tolerance!

CBD is not addictive and can not be abused because it does not create any dopamine change in the brain.

Many people tend to mix CBD-rich hemp extract with hemp seed oil. These two oils differ between sky and sea.

CBD hemp oil is naturally derived from the resinous part of the feminine hemp plant that is found in stems, leaves and flowers. The resin is extracted using an advanced extraction method to collect cannabinoids, as well as terpenes that are naturally found in the hemp plant. This is the source of the CBD.

At the same time, hemp seed oil comes from the seeds of the Cannabis sativa plant. The seeds do not contain CBD, but they still have a rich profile of nutrients, fatty acids and useful bioactive compounds.

Both Hemp and Marijuana belong to the genus ´cannabis´ plant. Contrary to many people’s beliefs, there are several types of cannabis that can have very different effects.

The difference is in their chemical structure.

Everything with less than 0.2% THC in Europe (with dried weight) is classified as hemp – not psychotic, while everything above this is classified as marijuana – psychotic. THC is better known for its high effect (intoxicating) and is thus classified as a drug.

At DR. Herbals, we only use hemp plants that have been grown specifically for their high CBD content and lack the psychoactive THC.

The reason you want to extract CBD is to separate the cannabinoids and make a concentrated form that is consumable for humans.
Chewing raw hemp is not only unpleasant, it will not have the same desired effect as a concentrated extract.
We use CO2 extraction which is the newest, safest and most environmentally friendly method. It is simply used to extract cannabinoids from the plant in a 100% natural way with carbon dioxide under pressure to extract any phytocannabinoids (cannabinoids and terpenes) from the plant.
The process extracts essential cannabinoids, terpene oils and waxes in the absolute purest and most concentrated form.

We ship within Europe and Scandinavia.
